Alea jacta est
So declared
Caesar upon
Crossing the hallowed
Rubicon
Defying convention
With the Roman senate
Enraged
Outlaw , criminal so they said
Caesar , implacable
His mighty juggernaut intent
To cast his fortune
Roll the dice of fate
To which we all servants are
Yet we retain the power
The God like flame
To inscribe our verse
This sonnet living
No state can claim
Or some demagogue
To be our master
Our rebel human soul
Man an explorer at heart
Living myriad selves
Finding our rubicons
Straight to eternal fame
Gambling, challenging
Tempting fate to be
Authors of our eternal
Soliloquy
